Inevitably, the circulation of warm gases or fumes leads to condensation. If this condensation is not controlled and evacuated, condensates can accumulate in some parts of the installation, which have seriously damaging effects over the long term can.

Specifically, the high concentrations of these extremely corrosive condensates attack the materials concerned, which, it must be remembered, are not designed to withstand aggressions of this type.

If judiciously installed, a demister stops condensation from circulation, and evacuates it.

A demister consists in a type of barrel fitted with flanges to facilitate installation.

The purpose of the barrel is to collect and evacuate condensation.

Moreover, the barrel can accept filters or cartridges which can be easily removed for maintenance purposes.

Each demister is defined according to first, its capacity and the second, the nature of the gases and fumes circulating in the installation.

The filters and cartridges are made from thermoplastic depending on the nature of the fumes or gas.
